Youth Dragon Boat Coach 2018

The Pitt Meadows Paddling Club is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to coach a youth dragon boat team that is geared up and ready to compete at the Concorde Pacific Dragon Boat Festival (June 23-24, 2018). The coach will be expected to lead practices that are both challenging and fun, include technical development of youth paddlers, and model good sportsmanship.

Job Details:

  • Training Schedule: 3 x weekly (Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings) during May and June
  • Club Location: Pitt Meadows Paddling Club (14411 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows, BC)
  • Team Information: Novice group with high performance sport background
  • Compensation: Dependent on qualifications and experience

Clean up /Maintenance

  • maintaining boat cleanliness and safety
  • mowing weed eating and raking
  • fixing docks and ramps
  • inventory and equipment repair
  • painting and washing of buildings and equipment

Typing, Data Entry

  • entering names in Padtrac (CKC Database)
  • typing letters, job descriptions, forms, keeping track of volunteer hours etc.
  • webpage entries and maintenance. (entering information, photos and videos etc.)
  • Teampages entries and updates.  (entering information, photos and videos etc.)
  • Public relations, Liaising with newspapers, CKBC,CKC, City and District,etc.
