40,000 Coho Salmon smolts were released in late March from our club site into the Alouette River. These fish were raised at the Alco hatchery in Maple Ridge. There are fish counters further up the river and the smolts have to be released below it so the natural migration counts will not be compromised. The surviving fish will return to the river in 2011/2012.
