PADDLE ALL 2010

PaddleALL is an adaptive paddling program designed for people of all ages and abilities to partake in the sport of canoe kayak. PaddleALL is offered both competitively and recreationally.

Participants paddle along the Alouette river in a fun, safe environment. Individuals will be introduced to various boats allowing them to progress at their own speed. Believing in "Every Boat; EVERYBODY!" Dedicated staff will work with participants in small groups, building confidence and self esteem.

Practice is on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:00.

Two OC6's(6 person outrigger canoes) with paddles and four adaptive seats have been purchased through generous donations from the CKNW Orphans Fund and the Hamber Foundation. The seats will be interchangable between the Outriggers and a recently repaired Dragon Boat.

An Outrigger Canoe 2 that is the same boat that will be used at International World competitions was purchased with the help of grants from the Rick Hanson Foundation and BC disability games. The boat should be here in time for the start of our PaddleAll season.

We will continue to update this page as our programs are developed. To find out more about the Nationwide PaddleAll Initiative go to http://www.canoekayak.ca/pages/eng/742/.
