We are extremely excited to announce that we now offer Learn-to-Paddle courses on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons!

What is Learn to Paddle? If you would like to get more familiar with paddling, or just like the idea of brushing up on your skills, then this course is for you! Coach Nick will be leading participants in 3-hour workshops that include: basic paddling mechanics, stroke types, proper balance and posture, steering, and water safety skills. Instruction will primarily be focused on kayaks, but will also include canoes.

--> Learn to Paddle courses are $10 for members and just $35 for non-members 

--> You must register in advance, in person at the club – ask for Rebekah!

--> Courses run: Fridays from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturdays from 2:00 – 5:00 PM (exception: no class Saturday, August 19)

Intro to SUP currently unavailable

Unfortunately, our Intro to SUP instructor is unavailable until the middle of August and so our Intro to SUP classes and not running at present.
An update on the status will be posted here when the sessions are back up and running. Stay tuned...!




Kayak Fit every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY !

It's no secret that Kayak Fit has been a real winner this summer at PMPC! Beginning Monday, July 17, Kayak Fit will be offered 3 nights a week from 5:30 - 7:30pm - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

What is Kayak Fit? This program offers paddlers a unique opportunity to learn basic kayak fundamentals, skills, and games with a focus on improving endurance, balance, and strength. Classes are offered on a drop-in basis. These sessions will be led by Kat, one of our 2017 staffers. She has developed these sessions to give people the opportunity to participate in fitness training while in a kayak! 

--> Kayak Fit sessions are free for members, and $25 for non-members. 

--> Limited to 5 participants per session


Interested in kayaking? Want to try Stand-Up Paddling?

Come to any of our Drop-In Paddling sessions and for just $20 you can use all of our equipment! Come down Monday through Thursday evenings at 6pm, or Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3pm. We provide the paddles, PFDs, and promise you will have a great time!

Note: Our equipment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Depending upon the popularity of our new Intro to SUP sessions that run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, our stand-up paddle boards may run out quickly on those evenings. 



Anyone is welcome to come and paddle a kayak, canoe, or SUP during our Public Drop-In paddling times. (We do not rent boats for people to take and use off-site.)
