2026 Update
Thanks for your interest in Pitt Meadows Paddling Club! This is what we are currently doing:
Our women’s dragon boat team, the Al-O-Wetters, is based in Port Moody. Depending on weather conditions, this year’s season will commence in late February or early March.
Regular Big Canoe day trips are scheduled (usually from March - October) in our yellow voyageur accommodating a maximum of 14 people. Trips are dependent on availability of a trip leader plus a driver for the boat and trailer. We also have some camping trips planned.
Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) paddles are also planned, departing from a variety of locations, but most often from Menzies Crossing (the Silver Bridge) in Pitt Meadows. Both kayaks and canoes will be welcome.
An annual club membership ($35) is required to join in any of the above opportunities. Guests can be accommodated in some cases for a drop in fee of $15. Dragon boat participation may be limited depending on team numbers. For any additional information, please connect with: pmpaddlingclub@gmail.com.
If you wish to join or renew your membership, please e-transfer $35 for the calendar year of 2026 to: treasurer.pmpc@gmail.com and complete the waiver found here Waiver.
Big Canoe and BYOB trips are coordinated through an online app call TeamSnap. You will be invited to our space on TeamSnap when you join so you know all about the upcoming trips.
PMPC’s Annual General Meeting is to be held on Thursday, February 12, 7 pm at Pitt Meadows Seniors Activity Centre, 19065 119B Avenue, Pitt Meadows, BC. Election of the Executive Board and discussion of the annual budget are on the agenda. Board positions and duties are listed HERE. Reports and voting privileges are available to all registered members, while attendance is open to anyone. A special guest presentation of a canoe trip on the Nation Lakes will be a highlight. We hope to see you there!
